Plot Synopsis

Directed by Don Argott and Sheena Joyce and executive produced by Robert Downey Jr., THE BOND is a four-part documentary that tells the stories of people from all walks of life who have formed deep bonds with creatures from across the animal kingdom. These bonds change the lives of both human and animal, and each episode will illustrate just how much we have to offer each other. All four episodes of THE BOND dropped on Thursday, July 14, 2022 on discovery+:

"Married to the Mob" Rae Harvey has formed an incredible bond with Kanku while running a kangaroo sanctuary in Australia. When wildfires destroy the sanctuary scattering the kangaroos, she will do everything possible to save them while reconnecting with a traumatized Kanku.

"Dances with Dolphins": While visiting Turks and Caicos, Jay Sargent develops a friendship with a bottlenose dolphin named Jojo. It is a friendship that has spanned over two decades, but when Jay is diagnosed with cancer, it is uncertain if she will be able to see Jojo again.

"Have Goat Will Travel": Cate and Chad Battles live the Airstream life with their goat, Frankie. As the summer begins, they set off on a road trip to visit a goat conference, explore nature, and at the final destination, plan to scatter the ashes of Frankie's best friend, Maggie.

"A Wild Guest": At a sanctuary in South Africa, Desmond and Elizke Gouws prepare rescued cheetahs to return to the wild. Before their latest rescue Kiki can be released, she and her cubs must first demonstrate their ability to hunt.
