Plot Synopsis

Based on the 1992 American romantic comedy film of the same name, BOOMERANG is a half-hour comedy series, fueled by romance, friendship, gender politics, love and of course, sex. The story begins roughly 25 years after the original movie, and centers on the offspring of the iconic characters. Imagine a world where Marcus Graham and Angela Lewis -- played by Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry in the movie -- walked off into the sunset, got married, and had a daughter, Simone. And Jacqueline Boyer (played by Robin Givens in the movie) went on with her life and had a son, Bryson. This series follows the lives of Bryson and Simone, as these childhood friends are now adults looking to make their own mark as marketing professionals, while navigating their feelings for each other and trying to renovate the legacy of their parents: The Graham Agency. Executive produced by Lena Waithe and Halle Berry, BOOMERANG premiered Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 10-11pm ET/PT on BET:

"Pilot" (10pm): New Age marketing professionals Bryson and Simone look for ways to create their own paths to success while trying to renovate the legacy of their parents: The Graham Agency.

"Game Night" (10:30pm): Bryson hosts a game night for the gang, but his fun quickly turns to jealousy when Simone sets her sights on an unexpected guest. Additionally, David and Crystal see each other for the first time since their divorce.
BOOMERANG returned for its second season on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 10:30pm ET/PT on BET. In the season opener, "There U Go," the gang heads to Homecoming some with sex on their mind, and it becomes clear how everyone has (or hasn't) changed since Simone and Bryson's breakup.
