Plot Synopsis

BORDERFORCE USA is a one-hour docuseries that the United States' Customs and Border Protection, as its officers patrol a total of 28 bridges cross the Rio Grande, linking the United States and Mexico. Every day 250,000 people, 12,000 cargo trucks and 5000 railroad cars cross the bridges for a multitude of reasons. Some legal -- and some not. This series goes behind the scenes to witness the processes and the technology that the CBP deploys in its mission to keep America safe.

Season 2 of BORDERFORCE USA premiered on Nat Geo on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Life on the Line," officers put their lives on the line as they prepare to transfer two members of a cartel into the custody of the Mexican military. In Laredo, a cop from Caracas, Venezuela, pleads his case for asylum in the United States while in Hidalgo a man who has visited a few too many bars on the other side of the river returns to the United States -- and into the arms of his wife who isn't too impressed by his behavior.
