Plot Synopsis

BOYSTER is an animated series that follows the awesome adventures of 11-year-old Boyster (half boy, half oyster), as he goes to school, hangs out with friends and deals with everyday life as a kid. Born from a toxic spill, Boyster was discovered by a human couple who raised him as if he was their own son -- until that fateful day when he realized that he was different from everyone else. He can stretch out like chewing gum, shoot sparks from his arm pits, control streams of water and spit out pearls when he eats calcium. Plus, he's got a twin brother named Shelby, his giant talking shell that can fly. Boyster loves life and loves being a mutant most of the time, but all he really wants is to be able to lead the normal life of a little kid. And only one thing really scares him: that someone discovers his secret. Well, someone besides his best friend, Rafik, who is the only person at school that knows his true identity. Rafik is a playful kid who loves to have fun, is a bit of a fantasist, and often finds things funny even if they're not. Boyster loves hanging out with Rafik, but he really has his heart set on Alicia, the daughter of mega rich parents, who is passionate about art and loves nothing more than painting pictures of her beloved cat, Vanilla. Between greedy jewelers and cruel seafood chefs, fights with Ozzy the school bully and classes with Mr. Pluss (aka The Teachinator), it's not easy being a boy when you're also an oyster. Disney XD aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 12:30pm ET/PT.
