Plot Synopsis

Eight aspiring models share a London apartment and compete for a life-changing opportunity to break down barriers throughout the fashion industry. The ultimate prize includes: a photo shoot with Rankin, one of the UK's best known fashion photographers; a four page spread in Marie Claire; and an introduction to the head of a top modelling agency. For the weekly assignments, the women model lingerie in a store window, walk the catwalk, record a television commercial with male models and are photographed in the rain during a photo shoot. But this isn't just any modelling competition -- all of the competitors have disabilities. The judges have the hardest time agreeing on how to rate each girl. Should they view her as a disabled girl aspiring to be a model or an aspiring model who happens to have a disability? Opinions are so split the cameras are switched off at one point. The judges are: Wayne Hemmingway, a fashion designer and founder of label Red or Dead; Marie O'Riordan, then-editor of Marie Claire; writer, actress and presenter Lara Masters; and award-winning casting director Mark Summers.
