Plot Synopsis

After the Bryks were featured in FAMILY UNDER CONSTRUCTION, successfully turning a rundown rooming house into their family home, Danielle Bryk started her own property company and design firm: The Bryk House. Now, A BRYK AT A TIME follows Danielle as she starts and grows her business -- from her very first job through her first referral, while also helping family members in need -- all while battling delays, dealing with idiosyncrasies of old houses, and raising a family. Sometimes she even rallies the troops together to make her jobs a true family affair. Each 30-minute episode features Danielle completing one project, including: her first job, a bathroom update for a family of five; a main-floor mess for her mentor and father figure Sammy, who was taken advantage of by a contractor, leaving his house a construction zone; her first referral, converting a basement into a playroom, a bathroom, and a nanny suite that she must finish in a month so that family can move in; a rental makeover for her sister Terry, who decided to renovate and sell a rental home she has owned for 10 years; her first renovation that required serious construction and structural work, a basement conversion that must include a washroom, guest room, and media area with radiant floor heating; and many more jobs.
A BRYK AT A TIME returned for its second season at 8am ET/5am PT early morning on Sunday, January 5, 2014 on DIY, as Danielle rushed to complete a home overhaul in time for a couple's 10th anniversary party.
