Plot Synopsis

BUILDING BELUSHI is a half-hour series that follows the trials and tribulations of entertainer Jim Belushi as the actor, comedian and musician -- along with his team of experts -- build a riverfront dream getaway on the Rogue River in Eagle Point, Oregon, just outside of Medford. Jim purchased 13 acres of a former 1930s Elks picnic ground, and now he and his team begin the process of constructing the ultimate retreat cabin. In each episode, Jim seeks to craft his vision to fit with the powerful and spiritual river and its surrounding natural landscape. Yet, he has to manage the often unpredictable realities and set-backs of home building and renovation. After three decades as an entertainer, Jim, a home-renovation enthusiast, is now looking forward to unwinding on the river with friends and family at what he calls the Rogue's Lair.

On Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 10-11pm ET/PT, DIY Network premiered the season finale of BUILDING BELUSHI, showing back-to-back new episodes immediately after an encore of the season's first four episodes from 8-10pm. In the night's first new episode (10pm), "Exterior Issues," the crew members starts pouring the foundation and begin framing the bunkhouse, but they soon run out of roofing and siding for both the bunkhouse and the main house. Then, in the season finale (10:30pm), "A Reason to Party," as summer arrives on the Rogue River, Jim turns his attention to the kitchen and deck, then he celebrates his new home by throwing a party for the crew and the community.
