Plot Synopsis

This one-hour reality series follows Nate Heim and his crew at the Minnesota-based Heim Log Homes, as they travel across the United States to design and build ultimate dream sanctuaries for their clients. Whether nestled at the base of a mountain or in a suburban backyard, these craftsmen create unique log homes sprung from their clients' imaginations. Started by Ron Heim in the late '70s, Heim Log Homes is now owned and run by Ron's son, Nate. Nate and his team -- plus the occasional drop-in by dad -- use century-old techniques, pouring themselves into each and every cabin, to bring the past to the present. In each one-hour episode of CABIN FEVER, Nate and his team build a home in a different location, including: Brian Head (UT), where the Brimhalls want a picturesque getaway home away from their lives in Las Vegas, where they can entertain friends; Lake Vermillion (MN), where Nate's superior officer in the National Guard, Major McGowan, want a wilderness retreat where they can enjoy the outdoors and raise a family on five acres of prime real estate; Grygla (MN), where buffalo ranchers Rob and DeAnn Zavoral want to replace the old structure sitting on their property with a striking new log home or an upcoming family reunion; and more cities like Sioux City (IA), Kosciusko (MS), Kamas (UT), Gilmer (TX), and Ely (MN).
