Plot Synopsis

Created by Solen Roy-Pagenault, Robin Barataud, and Brigitte Peskine, CANDICE RENOIR is a crime drama series that follows Candice Renoir, who is back in the south of France after 10 years away -- and is back on the case as a police commandant. Newly divorced with four kids, Candice feels rusty at work -- and her skeptical colleagues don't help. Determined to prove her so-called weaknesses are strengths, she solves complex cases with common sense, acute observations, and a practical nature honed by the life of a busy mom.

Season 8 made its U.S. debut on Monday, December 11, 2023 on Acorn TV, which released the entire 10-episode season. In the season opener, "Don't Let the Cat Out of the Bag," a woman's body is found in her home with her head bashed in, her purse gone, and other signs of a break-in. After learning there had been a dispute over the house, Candice realizes the victim may not be who she thought.

The ninth season of CANDICE RENOIR made its U.S. debut on Monday, July 22, 2024 on Acorn TV, which released all 10 episodes of the new season. In the season opener, "Small Negligence Gives Rise to Great Evil," although she's placed on admin duty for hiding Antoine's amnesia, Candice can't help but get involved when a harassment victim goes missing and then turns up dead.

Season 10 of CANDICE RENOIR made its U.S. debut on Monday, September 16, 2024 on Acorn TV, which released all six episodes of the new season. In the season opener, "Only One Person Is Missing and Everything Is Depopulated," Candice is rushed into surgery after being shot. Near death, she has an out-of-body experience that helps her team solve an investigation.

On Monday, October 28, 2024, Acorn TV released two CANDICE RENOIR specials:

"Everyone Directs Water to Their Mill": In this Corsica special, Candice and Antoine treat themselves to a luxury vacation in Corsica, but their trip becomes a disaster when a handsome young man-with whom Antoine had an altercation the night before-turns up dead in the trunk of Candice's car.

"Candy or Life": In this Halloween special, as Halloween approaches, Candice accompanies Antoine and his daughter, Suzanne, to a farm festival to pick pumpkins. But when Suzanne is kidnapped in the field by what appears to be a jack-o'-lantern, they are frantic to find her.
