Plot Synopsis

CAPTURE COWBOYS is a reality series that follows Texas cowboys who maintain the health and well-being of the wildlife and the hundreds of ranches that are now home to breeding, free-roaming populations of exotic, rare, and endangered animals. Instead of horses and lassos, this new breed of modern cowboys uses helicopters, four-wheelers and netguns to regularly capture animals and transfer them to different sections of these ranches or transport them to other ranches. On Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11pm, History Channel aired the series pilot. Based on the ratings for this initial airing, History will decide whether to pick up the program as a series. In that 30-minute pilot episode, cowboys were tasked with two jobs: capturing a rogue, one-horned oryx that was harassing the herd and moving it to a secure location; and capturing a pair of zebra using a helicopter and netgun, something that has never been done before.
