Plot Synopsis

The star of the film CATFISH, Nev Schulman, and fellow filmmaker Max Joseph travel across America to unite couples who have fallen in love online but have not met face-to-face. In each 60-minute episode, one hopeful romantic partner goes on an emotional voyage to discover the truth about their significant other, with these journeys often filled with mystery, surprise and sometimes shocking revelations. For each meeting, Nev and Max use their personal experiences, documentarian skills, and a healthy dose of detective work to delve into the intricacies of each relationship. From a young woman who wonders why the guy she's communicated with for over 10 years won't meet her in person, to a single dad who hopes that his online girlfriend is really who she says she is, to a farmer who believes he's dating a former Miss Teen USA/Playboy model, Nev and Max will uncover the truth.
