Plot Synopsis

In each one-hour episode, two mothers from celebrity families with very different values swap lifestyles and children in a one week-long challenge. In the first part of the swap, each mom moves into the other's home and must adopt their new celebrity family's lifestyle, no matter how different. They agree to follow a manual written by the departing mother that sets out the rules of the new household -- how to parent, manage their social life, do house work, unwind and more. In the second half of the week, everything changes when the new moms take charge. They introduce their own set of rules and get to run the new household their way. It's a radical shock to both celebrity families. The results are explosive, enlightening, emotional and often very funny. At the end of the show, the two celebrity couples meet for the first time. ABC aired a full episode as a sneak preview on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 10pm ET/PT before showing the official series premiere the following day. The following celebrities and their families were featured in the first season: Gary Busey & Ted Haggard; Tracey Gold & Carnie Wilson; Flavor Flav & Dee Snider; Mick Foley & Antonio Sabato, Jr.; and Niecy Nash & Tina Yothers. CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP returned for a new season on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT, with Season 2 featuring: Kate Gosselin & Kendra Wilkinson; Coolio & Mark McGrath; Alan Thicke & Gilbert Gottfried; and more. On Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC broadcast the Season 3 premiere of CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP, featuring the partners of actor Daniel Baldwin and music legend Jermaine Jackson swapping lives for one week. In subsequent episodes of the third season, these celebs swap spouses: actress Tichina Arnold and actress Kelly Packard; television personality Robin Leach and actor Eric Roberts; former professional boxer Laila Ali and singer/songwriter Angie Stone; actress Angie Everhart and Food Network star Gina Neely; three time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves and Larry Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn. On Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the fourth season of CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP, featuring Charo, Margaret Cho, Jackee Harry, Traci Lords, Jeremy London, Vince Neil, Gunnar Nelson, Holly Robinson Peete, David & Jackie Siegel, Verne Troyer, Hines Ward And Jill Whelan. Season 4 kicks off with the families of actress Jackee Harry and pop icon Traci Lords. Jackee, best known for roles on the comedy series 227 and SISTER, SISTER, lives in Los Angeles, CA with her ex-husband Elgin Charles. Even though the couple is divorced, they still share a home and life in which Jackee and Elgin enjoy the finer things, frequently going out for drinks, dinner and dancing with friends late into the evening. Traci also lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband Jeff and young son Gunnar. Traci and her husband are very traditional in that Traci is responsible for the running of the house, including the cooking and cleaning. They don't own a TV and like to spend quiet evenings at home together where Gunnar puts his imagination to work building things out of the family's recyclables. When it's time for the swap, both Jackee and Traci are taken out of their comfort zones with Jackee taxed with cooking dinner and baking cupcakes for a birthday party at Gunnar's school, while Traci spends a night on the town with Elgin meeting some of Jackee's friends.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10pm ET,PT, ABC premiered the Season 4 finale of CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP, featuring actor Robert Carradine and former pro football player Terrell 'T.O.' Owens in a series first: the men swap lives instead of the women.

Robert is an actor best know for his role on the classic movie franchise REVENGE OF THE NERDS. Today, he regularly visits a reclusive private island off of Tahiti with his wife of 25 years, Edie, and their daughter Marika. Robert and his family live "off the grid" with no cell phone, Wi-Fi, computers or television. They are self sufficient with Robert fishing and gathering the family's food daily, milking goats and collecting chicken eggs. The family enjoys low key, but devoted family time where they do a lot of home crafting and Robert whittles.

Terrell is a former NFL star who played professionally for 15 years. Terrell lives in Los Angeles, CA with his friend Melissa, her daughter Mikayva and ones of Terrell's children, 15-year-old Terique. Physical fitness and sports play a huge role in Terrell's house with Terrell and Melissa working out together. When it comes to family time, Terrell tends to go off entirely on his own, ordering delivery food for only him and secluding himself in the house away from the rest of his family.

When it's time for the swap, Terrell arrives in Tahiti, but it's anything but paradise, when he finds himself on a paddle boat far from any sign of civilization. With no cell reception or modern day amenities, Terrell isn't sure what's in store for him. Back in Los Angeles, Robert is overwhelmed by the size of his new house. When the men meet their new wives for the first time, Terrell immediately learns he's responsible for providing the family's dinner while Richard feels out of place when Melissa cooks dinner for herself and the kids leaving Robert Terrell's standard take-out menus to order dinner and hang out by himself. As the week goes on, Robert gets a lesson in working out and spends time with some of Terrell's football friends while Terrell gets to work on the island chopping firewood and providing for his new family. When it's time for rules change, the men are ready to make some big changes to their new families.
