Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Chelsea Handler, CHELSEA is a half-hour talk show, that aired three times a week (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays) in its first season and once weekly (Fridays) for Season 2. Back with a freshly stamped passport and new global outlook, Chelsea tackles today's tough issues with the same acerbic wit and fearless curiosity her fans have come to know and love. Handler is tossing the traditional talk show model out the window for this new show, as she travels around the world -- from Russia, Japan, and Mexico City, across the U.S. and back again to Sony Pictures Studios, where she tapes in front of a live in-studio audience -- to explore the subjects that matter most. CHELSEA also features celebrities, dignitaries, and surprise guests, who engage in conversations about topics like international cultures, alternative lifestyles, education, health, sports, parenting, politics, and more. CHELSEA's 90-episode first season premiered on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 3:01am ET, with three guests: Secretary of Education John B. King, Pitbull and Drew Barrymore.

CHELSEA returned for its second season on Netflix on Friday, April 14, 2017. The new season features unfiltered, revealing conversations with Hollywood's A-list, world leaders, and notable guests from all walks of life. Viewers are invited to travel the world with the fearless host, grab a seat at the table for her intimate dinner parties, and be entertained by comedy bits and Chelsea's off-the-cuff humor. The sophomore season of Chelsea, which streams Fridays, promises to be louder and bolder especially in today's political climate.
