Plot Synopsis

CHICAGO FIRE is an action series that follows the men and women of Chicago Firehouse 51, where firefighters, rescue squads, and paramedics respond to the city's most dangerous fires and rescue operations. These courageous men and women forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way, but the enormous responsibilities of the job also take a personal toll. When a tragedy claims one of their own, there's plenty of guilt and blame to go around, and Lt. Matthew Casey and Lt. Kelly Severide each blames the other for their fallen team member. Even though Casey and Severide butt heads, they put their differences aside and put everything on the line for each other -- and the rest of the crew -- as soon as it's "go time." Chicago Firehouse 51 includes: Squad Lieutenant Kelly Severide, an adrenaline-junkie who's the leader of the elite firefighters; Matthew Casey, a natural leader who is in his element when on a rescue or putting out a fire but is grappling with a recent separation from his wife, Hallie; Battalion Chief Wallace Boden, the captain of the squad; Peter Mills, a young candidate firefighter fresh from the Academy; Christopher Hermann, who loses his home due to foreclosure and is forced to move in with his in-laws; Gabriella Dawson, a fast-thinking and fearless paramedic committed to her job; Leslie Shay, a fearless EMT and prankster who's always in on the joke and the life of the party; and more.
