Plot Synopsis

As a chief of staff in the National Assembly, Jang Tae-jun influences power behind the scenes while pursuing his own ambitions to rise to the top. The series opens with Tae-jun being interviewed about his role as chief of staff, as he tries to defuse a crisis threatening Song Hui-seop's political career -- and his own. Then, Han Do-gyeong joins the staff as a new intern. Tae-jun makes a controversial proposal for the upcoming government audit, which has everyone on edge. Tae-jun contends with a rival staff member. Yun Hye-won volunteers to talk to a key witness. Kang Seon-yeong becomes concerned about Lee Seong-min.
