Plot Synopsis

CHILDREN OF THE CULT is a five-part documentary series that chronicles the story of one of the world's most notorious and prolific cults, The Children of God, through the stories of three British women -- Hope, Celeste and Verity -- who were born into a doomsday cult and escaped its clutches. It started as a Christian community in the 1960s, but the Children of God soon became a notorious cult, rife with corruption, trafficking, and abuse. This series tracks the dramatic rise and fall of the cult alongside the unfolding criminal investigation to bring its members to justice. All five episodes of CHILDREN OF THE CULT dropped on Saturday, August 21, 2021 on discovery+.
