Plot Synopsis

Sixteen grilling professionals face off in a five-part tournament, as they compete for a $50,000 grand prize. In each of the first four episodes, four grill chefs compete against each other in a typical CHOPPED format that focuses on grilling, and the winner of each episode advances to the finals in the fifth episode, where a winner is crowned. Hosted by Ted Allen, CHOPPED GRILL MASTERS NAPA features judges Amanda Freitag and Marc Murphy who are joined by a third judge, including Michael Chiarello, John Kock and Geoffrey Zakarian. Competing chefs include:

Episode 1: Bryan Moscatello (Napa, CA), Ashley Pado (Wooster, OH), Chad Rosenthal (Ambler, PA), Jonathon Sawyer (Cleveland, OH)

Episode 2: Nate Berrigan-Dunlap (Oakland, CA), Karen Mitchell (Boston, MA), Christopher Schobel (Kihei, HI), Sophina Uoung (Berkeley, CA)

Episode 3: Jason Bergeron (San Francisco, CA), Brian Bruns (Chicago, IL), Charles Grund (New York, NY), Daniel Gomez Sanchez (Napa, CA)

Episode 4: Tracy Anderson (Napa, CA), Chrissy Camba (Chicago, IL), Ken Hess (Alabama), Tony Maws (Cambridge, MA)

In the finale, which premiered on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, four champion grill masters -- Jonathon Sawyer, Sophina Uoung, Daniel Gomez Sanchez & Tony Maws -- are each already $10,000 richer, and now they return to see who will claim $50,000 more! Half of the appetizer basket is taken up with a porky surprise. Then, the entree round features a serious display of grilling acrobatics as the remaining champs figure out what to do with a surf and turf combo. Finally, bananas and wine are two of the tricky dessert ingredients that the last pair of chefs must grapple with as they battle for the grand prize.
