Plot Synopsis

Sixteen talented teenagers compete against each other in the traditional CHOPPED format, as they try to win $25,000. In Season 1, the teens also vied for a $40,000 scholarship for culinary school in addition to the cash prize. In each of the first four episodes, four teens compete against each other, and the winner of each episode advances to the finals to battle in the Grand Finale contest. Hosted by Ted Allen, CHOPPED TEEN TOURNAMENT featured a rotating panel of CHOPPED judges, including these experts in Season 1: Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, Chris Santos, Geoffrey Zakarian and special guest judge Alex Stupak. The teen competitors were: Alexandria Brooks, Ashley Dudley, Jason Khaytin & Jay Urena (Episode 1); Lucy Felong, Dante Foggy, Eyan Goldman & Mikayla Layng (Episode 2); Max Aronson, Hannah Bukzin, Tommi Rae Fowler & Brandon Medley (Episode 3); and Jake Diamond, Morgan Goldstein, Antonio Jubela Gordon & Sequoia Pranger (Episode 4). In the season finale of CHOPPED TEEN TOURNAMENT, as the four first-round winners -- Jason Khaytin, Dante Foggy, Tommi Rae Fowler & Sequoia Pranger -- competed for the scholarship and cash prize. On Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered the second CHOPPED TEEN TOURNAMENT. Through this five-part stunt, 16 culinary whiz kids aim for perfect appetizers, entrees, and desserts, as they navigate through three rounds. The teen winners from each episode head to the finale with a chance at winning the $25,000 grand prize. Season 2 judges Maneet Chauhan, Scott Conant, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli and Chris Santos help grade each teen's dish, based on taste and creativity. In the end, one of these teens joins becomes the new Teen Chopped Grand Champion: Franco Fugel, Yazmene Kaylani, Anna Mindell & Theo Vicioso (Episode 1); Nino Asaro, Alyssa Chacon, Peter Wenger & Salma Zahran (Episode 2); Alexina Chasin, Allison Lee, Eliza McKelvey & Jarren Pross (Episode 3); and Justin Ballenger, Danny Ganzman, Olivia Neumark & Veronica Seguin (Episode 4). Food Network premiered the third CHOPPED TEEN TOURNAMENT on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT. In this returning five episode stunt hosted again by Ted Allen, 16 talented teenaged chefs bring their energy and ambition to the kitchen, where these culinary whiz kids must create the perfect appetizer, entree and dessert as they navigate through each round. The winner from each episode heads into the grand finale round with a huge $25,000 grand prize on the line.

On Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered the finale of the third CHOPPED TEEN TOURNAMENT, with judges Scott Conant, Amanda Freitag, Geoffrey Zakarian. Four teen winners have returned to compete in the grand finale of the tournament with $25,000 at stake. The young cooks find a surf-and-turf combination in the appetizer basket and aim to distinguish themselves from their opponents with their first plates. Butchering skills come into play in the entree round, then one teen chef's premonition about a mango in the dessert basket comes true.
