Plot Synopsis

Chef Sammy DeMarco and best friend/Hollywood director Frank Coraci hit the road to find the tastiest and most creative comfort food in America. In each half-hour episode, Sammy and Frank travel to a different city, visiting three eateries with the most innovative and delicious twists on a comfort food classic. At the end of each episode, the chow buddies judge which contender is worthy of a $10,000 cash prize and the Golden Skillet award. In CHOW MASTERS, Sammy and Frank taste comfort food in these cities: New York City, where they sample breakfast items, including deep-fried poached eggs and Bloody Mary sauce; Nashville, where they taste BBQ, including glazed pork belly and Goo Good Cluster mole; San Francisco, where they eat mac-and-cheese dishes; Austin, TX, where they devour awesome tacos, including tortillas with wasabi slaw and fried chicken; Chicago, where they chow down on Windy City hot dogs; Denver, where they fill up on nachos that include anything from bison to poached eggs to pork green chile; and many more places across the United States known for their own take on American classics.
