Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Dean Cain and Laura McKenzie, THE CHRISTMAS CAROLER CHALLENGE is a six-episode Christmas caroling competition series that features 12 extraordinary Christmas carol groups, each with their own stylized brand of performance -- from elaborate ultra-traditional virtuoso performances to those with the most unexpected twists on classic Christmas carols. Each group is judged by three celebrity judges: Mikalah Gordon, Brandon Rogers, and Garry Beers. After two episodes of auditions, the top 10 groups perform in the third installment. Two more groups are sent home, and the top eight groups compete for one of the six spots in the semifinals in the fifth episode. The season ends with four groups singing for the title. The 12 groups in Season 1 included: Vocal Flash; The Other Reindeer; The Goode Time Carolers; Songful Artists; The Los Angeles Christmas Carolers; Atlantic City Boys; Voices of Christmas; Top Shelf Vocal; The Beverly Belles; Simply Vocale; The Christmas Belles Carolers; and Bank of Harmony.

Season 2 of THE CHRISTMAS CAROLER CHALLENGE premiered on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 8-10pm ET/PT on The CW, with Dean Cain and Laura McKenzie returning as hosts and Brandon Rogers, Mikalah Gordon and Garry Gary Beers coming back for a second season. The winning Christmas caroling group will be awarded a Grand Prize trophy, 1,000 toys to be donated to Marine Toys for Tots in the name of the winning caroling group, and an opportunity to appear and perform in The 90th Annual HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS PARADE supporting Marine Toys for Tots in 2021. The 10 caroling groups in Season 2 include: include Raise, The Accidentals, The Sugarplums, Jolly Holidays, Jingle 5, Newfangled Four, Yuletones, Decorations, Snow Problems and Four Calling Birds.

On Christmas Day 2020 (Friday, December 25) from 8-10pm ET/PT, The CW premiered the Season 2 finale ofTHE CHRISTMAS CAROLER CHALLENGE. The final two groups face off to win the competition. Plus, the two-hour finale features performances by judges Mikalah Gordon, Brandon Rogers and Garry Gary Beers.
