Plot Synopsis

After being deserted by her husband, Kyle, Texas housewife Riley Parks is left in serious financial straits, and she takes a job at The Rub, a day spa where she must decide when she, like her co-workers, will provide additional services for clients. Riley struggles with a moral conflict between two starkly different lives -- one as a single mother in a conservative town struggling to provide for her family and the other as a savvy and ambitious businesswoman working with a raucous, sexy and unpredictable group of women -- especially knowing her family and friends would disapprove of her decision to make extra cash on the side to help resolve her financial hardships. At the massage parlor, Riley works with: Georgia Cummings, the feisty and disorganized owner of the salon; and Kendra, Selena, Jolene, and Dee Ann, who are all hard-working masseuses at the spa. Outside the spa, Riley has the support of: her two children, Travis and Katie; her mother, Linette, who works as a hair stylist at a salon, Curl Up & Dry; Lacey, her best friend since high school, who works at the same hair salon as Linette; and her brother-in-law, Evan. Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger: Riley returned The Rub to retrieve the parlor's black book, only to find Kyle and the cops on her way out. Now, in Season 2, which premiered on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, Riley must walk the fine line between her anger and love for Kyle and the romantic feelings she has for her brother-in-law. Riley also takes a larger role at the spa, resulting in added power, responsibility and burden, further complicating her life, as new threats abound and trust becomes an overwhelming issue for Riley as everyone -- even those she believes she can count on the most.
