Plot Synopsis
CLIQUE is a one-hour drama series that sees two best friends -- childhood soulmates Holly and Georgia -- drawn into an elite clique of alpha girls at university in Edinburgh, only a few weeks into the so-called best years of their lives. Holly is cooler, calmer and more cautious than the effervescent Georgia, who willfully throws herself into the madness of first year. When the two attend an electrifying lecture by a hotshot Economics Professor, Jude McDermid, both find themselves considering their future and the possibility of applying to Jude's elite internship scheme. Jude's brand of feminism is alluring, just like the circle of bright students she surrounds herself with. Georgia's effortless entry into the clique leaves Holly out in the cold. But Holly's jealousy soon escalates to panic as Georgia begins acting erratically. Alarmed by this transformation in her best friend, Holly is compelled to follow her into Jude's closely guarded circle. What she discovers is a seductive world of lavish parties, populated by Edinburgh's highest-powered business men and women. But it's a world underpinned by sordid compromise, and as Holly exposes its deeply corrupt core, the danger mounts from all angles, for her and Georgia. Can Holly reclaim her soulmate? And at what cost to herself? CLIQUE had it U.S. premiere on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 10pm-Midnight ET/PT, as Pop Network debuted the first two episodes. Three days later, Season 2 of CLIQUE had its world premiere on Saturday, November 10 on BBC3 in the UK.

Season 2 of CLIQUE had its U.S. premiere on Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 6pm-Midnight ET/PT, as Pop Network debuted all six episodes of the new season in a six-hour marathon. After surviving a traumatic first year at university, Holly returns to Edinburgh determined to put the past behind her and enjoy her life as a student. But her new roommates want to make her an idol in their crusade for a safer, more equal campus and she's drawn the attention of a close-knit, magnetic clique of young men who eschew the political status quo. Holly finds a special and troubling connection with the leader of that pack, Jack. In the wake of a shocking event, Holly finds herself once more at the center of a campus-wide scandal. Episodes include:
Episode 201 (6pm): Holly is back for her sophomore year at college living with Louise and two new younger students -- Rayna and Fraser -- who are fascinated by the events of last year. Holly is guarded and just wants to keep her distance and move on. She meets a group of boys who aren't afraid to challenge their university peers and call out figures of authority. Led by the enigmatic Jack, Holly finds herself drawn towards this new clique, but there is something strange about them that she can't quite figure out. A shocking event makes it impossible for Holly to stay in the shadows.
Episode 202 (7pm): Holly is shocked after the brutal attack against her roommates. The boys ban together as blame is placed at their door and Holly and Jack's new relationship is tested. Louise is invigorated to act and fight for her beliefs through the campus activist group Women Rise and charismatic politician Agnes Reid, who happens to be Jack's mother. Meanwhile, the boys find themselves ever more entwined with Twitcher, the alternative media organization led by Ben Howard. Holly finds herself caught between both groups in her search for the truth. When she asks for help from an old friend, is she heading into more danger?
Episode 203 (8pm): With Rayna missing, Holly finds herself desperate to discover the truth of that night. When the university expels Jack on the basis of an accusation, Twitcher and the boys go to town on the Dean of Students finding he has some skeletons in his own closet. Unable to ignore corruption, Holly finds herself running with the boys -- but they blur the lines between mischievous and dangerous. Louise starts to question the beliefs she's defended so hard after learning Rayna asked Fraser to lie. While everyone wrestles with their version of the truth, the events of that night on the beach claim a terrible casualty.
Episode 204 (9pm): In the aftermath of Fraser's actions, everyone is left reeling. With new evidence, Holly and Jack come together in the search for 'Will' who might be the key to solving the mystery. Rayna buckles under the weight of her actions and finally the awful truth of Freshers Night comes to light. As the election approaches, Ben sets his sights on Agnes Reid with a furious Jack as the perfect weapon. Meanwhile, Rachel blackmails her therapist to begin an investigation, and Louise finds herself hot on the trail of a very dangerous secret.
Episode 205 (10pm): Days after the tragedy, Holly retreats to her childhood home and tries to co-exist with her father. Jack is haunted by doubts and struggles to prove his innocence but the blackouts leave him vulnerable. As the evidence seems to stack up against him, Calum even begins to question Jack's story. Revelations make Holly's mission chillingly clear and before long, a familiar face joins her for a reckoning.
Episode 206 (11pm): Holly wrestles with her dark side as she attempts to serve her own justice, and with Rachel by her side, nothing is certain. Back in the city, Ben organizes a March for Men, making Rayna a citywide target for angry young men. Barney and Aubrey find themselves on opposite sides of the battle. Agnes questions her parenting, but the damage is already done. As everyone bands together, dark secrets come to light with explosive consequences for all.
