Plot Synopsis

Each year since 2010, country music stars perform holiday songs and share their favorite traditions and memories on CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS. The inaugural event, hosted by Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and broadcast by ABC as a 90-minute special, was taped after the 44th Annual CMA AWARDS on November 10, 2010 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, and featured performances by Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Reba, LeAnn Rimes, Darius Rucker, Sugarland and Kellie Pickler. Bridgestone Arena in Nashville has continued to host the event, but the program is now taped on a different day than the CMA AWARDS.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 8-9pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the 15th Annual CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS. Hosted by Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood, this one-hour holiday special taps into the nostalgia and magic of the holiday season. Filmed in Nashville in front of a live audience, the holiday special showcases one-of-a-kind musical performances of festive classics from Country Music's biggest stars. Returning co-hosts Grant and Yearwood take the stage and perform "Sing Your Praise To The Lord" and "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town." Grant also takes the stage to perform "Tennessee Christmas" and Yearwood delivers a fun and festive Christmas medley. Alongside the night's hosts, the lineup includes for KING + COUNTRY with Carin Leon ("O Come, O Come Emmanuel"), Cody Johnson ("White Christmas" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas"), Ashley McBryde and Brittney Spencer ("Man With The Bag"), Jon Pardi ("400 Horsepower Sleigh") and CeCe Winans ("Joy To The World").
