Plot Synopsis

COACH CHARMING is a half-hour reality series that follows Bill Alverson, a prominent attorney and a father of three -- William, Stella and Blanche -- who is also one of the most desired pageant coaches in the United States, because he's responsible for transforming hopefuls into the country's top title holders. Bill specializes in preparing contestants for the interview segment, which is one of the most important portions of a pageant. In this eight-episode series, he meets with aspiring pageant competitors to teach them how to choose the right dress, make the perfect speech, show off their special talent, and take the all-important walk down center stage in their gown. The series opens with Bill struggling to turn a tap-dancing teen, Lexi, into a serious pageant contender. Then, Bill hopes to preserve the memory of the Alverson clan by insisting on everyone taking a family portrait while wearing swim suits. Then, Bill helps a seasoned pageant pro, Brittan, to stop sweating the small stuff, face her fears and identify the root of her issues. Later, Bill oversteps his "grandfather boundaries" when he pushes a healthy eating regimen on Helen Anne. Then, the heat is on for Bill as he attempts to transform 16-year-old Abigail from a pageant zero to hero in just 10 days. And unpleasant memories resurface as Bill discusses his tumultuous childhood with daughter Stella during a visit to his hometown.

On Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 10-11pm ET/PT, TLC premiered the season finale of COACH CHARMING, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the night's first episode (10pm), "She Forgot To Fry The Chicken," Bill struggles to transform Katie, the reigning Miss Kentucky United States from teen pageant queen into a serious Miss United States competitor. Looking to find a temporary replacement for his assistant Tammy, Bill calls in a favor from an old employee. Then in the season ender (10:30pm), "Come at Me, Panther!," Bill is shocked when this seasoned winner refuses to practice her swimsuit walk whhile coaching the reigning Miss Alabama for a national pageant. Meanwhile Bill and Kim hatch a plan to showcase Bill's awesome disco moves at the town dance.
