Plot Synopsis

COACH PRIME is a one-hour docuseries that follows Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders' Jackson State University football program at practice and during games, in the locker room, off the field, and in the community. In Year 3 of his Jackson State tenure, Deion Sanders and his team experience a dramatic season that includes a water crisis, player injuries, and heightened expectations for his football team. These four episodes explore how the team and the community united together during the 2022 season, featuring a wide range of celebrity guests who educate and inspire. The first two episodes dropped on Thursday December 29, 2022 on Prime Video.

The six-episode second season of COACH PRIME debuted with two new episodes on Thursday, December 7, 2023 on Prime Video. Season 2 takes viewers inside Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders' University of Colorado Boulder football program for the 2023 season. This year, Coach Prime and the Buffs have shaken up the college football landscape yet again, placing CU Boulder at the center of the sports world. Season Two will document Sanders' first full season at CU Boulder, as he embarks on a journey of building success and works to transform the program in a short amount of time. Sons Shilo and Shedeur Sanders join their father in Colorado, along with their former Jackson State University teammate Travis Hunter, for a new season that features never-before-seen footage that welcomes viewers behind the scenes of the most exciting story in college sports this year.

Season 3 of COACH PRIME premiered on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 on Prime Video, which released all five episodes of the new season. In his second season as Colorado head coach, Deion Sanders leads the Buffaloes in their return to the Big 12. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and 2024 Heisman trophy winner Travis Hunter aim to live up to their great expectations with the attention of the nation upon them. In the season opener, "Second Chances," a new season brings a new conference and new beginnings for the Buffaloes, highlighted by talent upgrades on National Signing Day and Warren Sapp joining the coaching staff.
