Plot Synopsis

Host Peter Sagal travels on a red-white-and-blue Harley Davidson across the United States -- from Tyler, Texas, to Missoula, Montana; from Cranston, Rhode Island, to Berkeley, California -- to discuss the U.S. Constitution with ordinary Americans and leading constitutional experts. He finds people who are struggling with issues of affirmative action, same-sex marriage, voting rights, the role of government and equal protection. Along the way, he'll learn what the Constitution actually says and what it means, the dramatic historical events and crises that have defined it, and why all this matters. Plus, as he's exploring different aspects of the Constitution, this program uses animation, graphics, and archival footage from television and movies to bring to life both the history and the actual text of the Constitution.
