Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Alex Gibney and series host Michael Pollan, COOKED is a four-part documentary series that follows Pollan as he tries his hand at baking, brewing and braising -- all while exploring how cooking transforms food and shapes our world. Plus, this series examines the primal human need to cook, issuing a call for a return to the kitchen in order to reclaim lost traditions and restore balance to our lives. Each episode examines one of the physical elements used throughout the ages to transform raw ingredients into delicious dishes through cooking: "Fire," directed by Alex Gibney; "Water," directed by Caroline Suh; "Air," directed by Ryan Miller; and "Earth," directed by Peter Bull. Netflix released all four episodes of COOKED on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
