Plot Synopsis

Tool expert Chris Grundy gives viewers an exclusive look at tools -- from the tried and true to the latest and greatest -- revealing insider tips and little-known techniques from the people who helped create them. In each 30-minute episode Chris highlights four different tools and materials, including: a welding system with automatic settings; specialty cutting tools for woodworkers; a quick feed screwgun for drywall installers; Barr Tools; a micro camera on a cable for seeing behind walls; a metal detector that finds nails in wood; a locator that follows pipes and cables underground; and many more. Plus, Chris travels to trade shows like the Hardware Show in Las Vegas, to factories to see tools being made, and on site visits like a trip to Fort Irwin, CA, to learn about cool military tools. Season 10 premiered on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 6pm with back-to-back new episodes, featuring new tools for around the workshop and classic tools that have a modern twist.
