Plot Synopsis

In this three-episode series, scientists and experts explore natural phenomena to discover why they're so destructive, and implement the latest devices that protect people from violent storms, quakes and volcanic eruptions. Each one-hour episode focuses on a different theme, including: volcanoes in "Planet of Fire," as scientists dive into massive lava lakes and mammoth calderas to discover exactly what makes inner Earth so explosive; earthquakes in "Tremors of Terror," as scientists investigate how these silent killers arrive without warning and leave mass destruction in their wake; and weather in "Wrath of Nature," as scientists fly straight into massive storm cells to discover how they spawn extreme water and wind.
