Plot Synopsis

COUNTING CARS follows Danny 'The Count' Koker, who frequently appeared on PAWN STARS, and his crew at Count's Kustoms, where Danny acquires, restores and customizes classic cars and motorcycles -- and then flips them for a profit. Danny walks, talks and breathes American muscle cars, vintage Harleys, tricked out trikes, and dune buggies. When he sees a ride he wants -- whether it's on display at an auto auction or parked at a roadside diner -- he will stop at nothing to acquire it, often making on-the-spot offers with cold, hard cash. Danny has a huge crew, and here are a few guys who appear on this series: 'Horny' Mike, the Fiberglass, Airbrush & Display Expert; Scott, one of the go-to Mechanics; Roli, Detailing; Kevin, the General Manager; and Big Ryan, The Michelangelo of Motor Paint. Every episode of this series tells amazing stories about the transformation of historic vehicles, including these in Season 1: turning a 1968 Mustang Fastback into Steve McQueen's ride in BULLITT; the process of salvaging the DuVall windshield of a 1931 Ford Model A Cabriolet; rebuilding a 1967 Pontiac GTO; redoing a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy; revamping a 1968 Camaro SS 350; building a custom bike for a disabled man; making over a 1960 Coupe de Ville; restoring a '70s-ear El Camino; and much more. History Channel aired a sneak-peek episode of this series on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:30pm ET, one day before its official series premiere on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10pm ET.

In Season 2, which premiered on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 9pm ET, Danny works on a number of projects, including: working with Ziggy Marley to restore and customize Bob Marley's last car, a 1980 Mercedes 500SL Euro; customizing a soap box derby car for a youngster; and tricking out a motorized wheelchair.

COUNTING CARS returned for its third season on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, PAWN STARS' "Old Man" Harrison stopped by; meanwhile, the guys weren't in love with Roli's new special custom project. In the night's second new episode, an eccentric couple wanted to turn a 20-year-old ambulance into a ghost-hunting vehicle. On Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on History, COUNTING CARS returned for its Season 3 Summer premiere with back-to-back new episodes. In the first episode back, "Heavy Metal," Danny impulsively buys a '69 Caddy and falls madly in love with her, and later rockers Judas Priest stop by to pick up a gift they had made for the band's newest member. In the night's second episode, "Power and Glory," Mark asks Danny to build a bike in memory of eight sailors who were lost while serving with him on the USS Belknap, and later Danny finds a beautiful, rare Corvette in a driveway.

History premiered the fourth season of COUNTING CARS on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. In the one-hour Season 4 premiere, "Mo' Parts Mo' Problems," Danny is doubly-blessed when a His and Hers restoration -- a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner and a 1970 Dodge Coronet -- are commissioned, but has The Count bitten off more than he can chew? When Roli hopes to become the shop's next air-brusher, Ryan and Mike have other plans for him. Danny comes across a classic '66 Stingray, but will he close the deal with Ricky Corvette?

Season 5 of COUNTING CARS premiered on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 9-10pm ET/PT, as History broadcast back-to-back new episodes immediately following an all-day marathon (8am-9pm) of encore episodes. In the season opener (9pm), "Who's Your Caddy?," Danny acquires a '62 Caddy which he hopes will be a huge flip. Ryan devises a secret plan for the car behind Danny's back, but when Danny finds out there's some explaining to do. Later, Danny and Ryan visit a world-class dune buggy collection, while back at the shop a snafu threatens to turn the Caddy from a money maker, into a money pit. Then, in the night's second new episode (9:30pm), "Chrome Is Where the Heart Is," Danny tries to get the derailed '62 Caddy project back on track, while Ryan tries to make amends for a mishap by finding a flip or two for the shop. When Danny finally unveils his finished 62 Caddy, will Ryan's paint plan make it all worth the trouble, or will this Caddy be one big expensive mess?

COUNTING CARS returned for its sixth season on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 9-10pm ET/PT, as History premiered back-to-back new episodes immediately following a five-hour marathon (4-9pm) of encore episodes. In Season 6, the crew take on some of their baddest rides yet including a custom supercar for Guns N Roses guitarist DJ Ashba, and surprising flip for rock legend Dee Snyder. Plus, the crew takes a look inside the epic car collection of Mr Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton. In the season opener (9pm), "Sweet Lambo of Mine," former Guns & Roses guitarist DJ Ashba arrives at Count's Kustoms in a 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago that he wants turned into the ultimate "mancar", but Danny must make sure he includes something special for DJ's wife. Ryan and Paulie hit the streets and try to score a classic Corvette that looks great on the outside, but is a disaster on the inside. In the night's second new episode (9:30pm), "Pick Ups and Ponies," Danny gets started on a project that he's been waiting a long time to tackle, a 1971 Chevy C10 Pick Up. He plans to flip it for a big profit, but a snafu in the paint department threatens to blow the budget sky high. Later, Danny's bandmate Stoney gets in a fender bender, and it's Danny to the rescue.

Season 8 of COUNTING CARS premiered on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on History. In the season opener, "Dream Charger," Danny decides to sell some of his most beloved cars. But the Count does not have a great track record when it comes to parting with his "babies," so the guys in the shop are understandably skeptical. A customer asks Danny to find and build the first car he ever had, a 1968 Dodge Charger. Plus Ryan and Shannon are tasked with recreating one of the most iconic motorcycles of all time -- the "Captain America" chopper from the classic film EASY RIDER. After a six-week break, COUNTING CARS returned with new episodes on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on History. In the fall premiere, "Heavy Metal Caddy," Brann Dailor, drummer for the Grammy winning heavy metal band Mastodon, brings in his 1970 Cadillac Coupe DeVille for some much needed Counts Kustom love. Shannon and Ryan bring in a one-of-a-kind motorcycle, owned by a one-of-a-kind lady. Plus, Kevin comes across a 1972 Boat Tail Riviera that he's pretty sure Danny will fall in love with.

COUNTING CARS returned for its ninth season on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT on History. Season 9 continues to follow Danny Koker and his team as they take on new projects and challenges. Upcoming highlights include Dee Snider from Twisted Sister enlisting Danny's help on a secret project, the team entering the LeMons rally race where no car can be worth more than $500, and the crew finding a rare build from famous car customizer George Barris -- the man behind the original Batmobile. In the series opener, "Killer Kellison," Danny and the guys take on a rare and valuable American street machine with big hopes for bringing it to this year's SEMA Convention in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Shannon tries to tame a 500 horsepower Boss Hoss motorcycle.

Will Alice like what Danny and the crew have done, or will it be no more Mr. Nice Guy? And Ryan is asked to create detailed artwork on a chopper, but there's a catch, it must be all black.
