Plot Synopsis

COUPLE TROUBLE is a 40-minute series that tells a love story about Anders and Lise. They're married, in their 30s, love each other, and have a wonderful daughter. But when they've been together for seven years, everyday life starts affecting them both in earnest, and they end up on the verge of divorce. Through flashbacks told from the office of the couples' counselor, Anders and Lise reveal the highs and lows of their relationship, exploring what's driven them apart and what may bring them together once again. COUPLE TROUBLE had its U.S. premiere on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as SundanceNow released the entire eight-episode first season.

The sophomore season of COUPLE TROUBLE made its U.S. debut on Thursday, October 21, 2021, as SundanceNow released all eight episodes of the new season. One year after the divorce, Lise and Anders end up in the same bed. Anders new girlfriend Marie is out travelling, so Lise and Anders are forced to find out what the renewed feelings mean before Marie is home in one week. Lise and Anders reach out to find help at their former therapist.
