Plot Synopsis

COYOTE PETERSON: BRAVE THE WILD is a docuseries that follows Coyote Peterson, host of the Brave Wilderness channel on YouTube, as he travels to all new destinations around the globe to share incredible animal experiences with the most fascinating, bizarre, and iconic animals on Earth. Coyote brings the animal kingdom up close for the next wave of explorers in an entertaining way, while promoting compassion and welfare for the natural world. Together with wildlife biologist Mario Aldecoa and his crew, Coyote shares their breathtaking adventures. This season, Coyote travels to Australia's Devil Ark conservatory to reveal the history behind the critically endangered Tasmanian devil and discovers the manpower needed to conserve this species; to Brazil where Coyote encounters the Yacare Caiman, a cousin of the crocodile, and swims alongside the animal to study its perfect-predator behavior as jaguars lurk from the shoreline; and the swamplands of Texas to search for a giant legendary alligator snapping turtle known as Raphael, among other destinations.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2020 from 8-10pm ET/PT, Animal Planet premiered the season finale of COYOTE PETERSON: BRAVE THE WILD, debuting three back-to-back episodes:

"To Catch a Monitor" (8pm): Coyote and his crew venture through the Outback in search of two iconic monitor species. As he swims through the watery oasis, he strategically stalks the Merten's water monitor in hopes of having a face-to-face encounter.

"Dragons of the North" (8:30pm): Coyote and his crew venture to Australia's northern territory to investigate the saltwater and freshwater crocodiles. While there, they reveal the difference between them, and hope to bring awareness to each species.

"Phantom of the Outback" (9-10pm): Coyote races to Australia in search of the Perentie monitor. After a grueling week, the team makes one final attempt to capture the lizard and builds a makeshift birds nest filled with fresh eggs, in hopes of capturing the Phantom of the Outback.
