Plot Synopsis

CRAZY CAKES is a half-hour reality series that takes viewers behind the scenes at bakeries across America that are creating the craziest cakes imaginable. From gravity-defying wedding cakes to life-size animal replicas, we'll see how these bakers create and build these mind-blowing creations. Each 30-minute episode features the creations from bakers at three different bakeries. In the series opener, "Carnivals, Cityscapes and Glowing Cakes," romance combines with rides and roller coasters on a carnival-themed wedding cake complete with a tunnel of love. Next, a massive edible Hollywood cityscape pleases everyone at a fundraiser and a baker takes crazy cakes up a notch with a glow-in-the-dark jellyfish. Finally, it's time to celebrate in Texas with a pinata that looks so real it's hard to believe it's actually a cake!

On Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11pm ET/8pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered the second season of CRAZY CAKES. In the season opener, "Jaw-Dropping Fantasy Cakes," a baker takes on a cake of Jurassic proportions for a group of movie super fans, and a 30th birthday calls for an elaborate dessert that brings a woodland creature to life. Then, one baker crafts a cake filled with special effects that interacts with a video game, and an epic party cake looks so real that it fools all the guests.

As part of a 12-hour marathon (6pm-6am ET), Cooking Channel premiered the third season of CRAZY CAKES at 11pm ET/8pm PT on Friday, July 5, 2019. In the season opener, "Sea Creatures and Corvette Cakes," young buccaneers on an Old World pirate ship are treated to a cake filled with treasure, and a group of car connoisseurs enjoys a replica cake that's ready to roll. Then, there's a cake for a movie director that looks very familiar, and a dessert for a local bagel shop has all the customers fooled.
