Plot Synopsis

Based on the 1982 film of the same name written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, CREEPSHOW is a horror anthology series that features two vignettes in each episode, exploring terrors from murder to the supernatural and unexplainable. Revived by showrunner Greg Nicotero, haunted dollhouses, werewolves, murderous goblins, villainous trick-or-treaters, the dead, and medical marvels are just a few of the things to watch out for.

Season 1 features 12 segments based on stories by acclaimed writers including: the Stephen King story "Gray Matter," adapted by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi (starring Adrienne Barbeau, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tobin Bell); "House of the Head," written by Josh Malerman (and directed by John Harrison; "By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain" by Joe Hill; "The Companion" by Joe R. Lansdale, Kasey Lansdale and Keith Lansdale; "The Finger" by David J. Schow; "Lydia Layne's Better Half" by John Harrison and Greg Nicotero; "Night of the Paw" by John Esposito; "Bad Wolf Down" by Rob Schrab; "All Hallows Eve" by Bruce Jones; "The Man in the Suitcase" by Christopher Buehlman; "Times is Tough in Musky Holler" by John Skipp and Dori Miller; and "Skincrawlers" Paul Dini and Stephen Langford. Additional stars in the first season are: Big Boi, Jeffrey Combs, Kid Cudi, Bruce Davison, Dana Gould, Tricia Helfer, and DJ Qualls.

"A Creepshow Animated Special" premiered late night Thursday, October 29, 2020 on Shudder. A holiday themed hour-long special, "A Creepshow Holiday Special," premiered December 18, 2020. In the story, "Shapeshifters Anonymous," an anxious man fears he is a murderer and searches for answers for his "unique condition" from an unusual support group. Starring Anna Camp and Adam Pally, the special is written and directed by Nicotero, based on a short story by J.A. Konrath.
