Plot Synopsis

CRICKET FEVER: MUMBAI INDIANS is a 40-minute documentary series that follows Indian Premier League champions Mumbai Indians, as they compete during the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Excitement and anticipation build as a new season approaches, but the team, managed by young Akash Ambani, faces pressure to repeat as IPL champions. After the season-opening game against Chennai, MI focuses some time on team bonding. A key injury leads to opportunity for an Australian newcomer. Then, the team plays an emotional match in front of 21,000 underprivileged children in Mumbai. Captain Rohit Sharma feels the weight of MI's struggles. This series premiered on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire eight-episode first season.
