Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Joel McHale, CRIME SCENE KITCHEN is a culinary guessing game in which bakers are tasked with decoding what type of dessert was made, when all that's left are the crumbs, flour trails, and a few elusive clues. They must then recreate the recipe for celebrity judges, chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gampp, who determine how closely their sweet treat matches the missing dessert -- and how good it tastes. Each episode begins at the scene of the crime - a kitchen that was just used to make an amazing mouth-watering dessert that has since disappeared. The chef teams of two are challenged to scour the kitchen for clues and ingredients to figure out what was baked. Next, each team must duplicate the recipe based on their guess. To take the $100,000 prize, the competing dessert makers will need to prove they have the technical know-how, imagination and problem-solving skills needed to decode and re-create incredible desserts and cakes from across the world! The 12 baking duos competing this season include:

Group A (entering the kitchen on May 26): Nathan Winner & Anthony Silvestri (Brooklyn, NY); Erinn Roth & Amanda Carter (Washington, DC & Waldorf, MD); Luis Flores & Natalie Collins-Fish (Las Vegas, NV); Jay Clifton & Thuy-Linh Carroll (Dallas, TX); Carolyn Tunon & Caroline Schmidt (Miami, FL); and Cathy Jacobson & Thomas McCurdy (Devil's Lake, ND & Irasburg, VT).

Group B (entering the kitchen on June 2): Cory Powell & Donte Fassett (Philadelphia, PA & Smyrna, DE); Natasha Babchak & Anthony Damelio (New York, NY & Wolcott, CT); Rebecca Miller & Jean Plumley (Columbia, MO); Shania Thomas-Floyd & Hope Marrero (Jersey City, NJ & Elizabeth, NJ); Leslie Milton & Emma Rosenthal (Williamstown, MA & Chicago, IL); and Lorie Burcham & Jason Burcham (Nashville, TN).

The sophomore season of CRIME SCENE KITCHEN premiered on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX, with Joel McHale returning as host and chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gampp coming back as celebrity judges. New this season, the bakers are divided into two groups -- self-taught and classically trained -- and the rivalries are fierce. Season 2 guest judges include: NeNe Leakes, Martina McBride, Richard Blais, Dwight Howard, and more. In the season opener, "Welcome Self-Taught Bakers," six self-taught baking teams arrive at the Crime Scene Kitchen to start their hunt for clues, leading them to the mystery dessert. The teams with the best crime-solving technique advance to the next week, and the duo with the poorest performance of the night heads home.

On Monday, August 14, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT, FOX premiered "The Finale: I Need a Drink!," the Season 2 finale of CRIME SCENE KITCHEN. The final three teams of classically-trained and self-taught bakers vie for the grand prize in the finale. With no safety bake round, all teams must participate in the ultimate test - unraveling clues for two bakes. In their last bake, the finalists have five hours to closely master the final mystery dessert of the season. The team that performs the best across both rounds will be crowned Crime Scene Kitchen champions and take home $100,000.
