Plot Synopsis

Sharing the same title as his Vegas show, Cirque du Soleil's Criss Angel BeLIEve at the Luxor Hotel and Casino, this reality series follows magician Criss Angel, as he and his team brainstorm, prepare, and demonstrate incredible acts of magic and death-defying escapes. Throughout this series, Criss demonstrates the methods and secrets that go into designing, building, and executing these incredible feats. Plus, viewers get a glimpse into Angel's life, along with his team and celebrity guests. Each 60-minute episode features its own theme, with at least two stunts centered on that theme. In the series opener, entitled "Blind," a blindfolded Criss walks an I-beam high above the ground and a costly magic stunt blows Ludacris' mind. Whether he's escaping from a cement grave or making soda levitate, Criss relies on the help of these people: Banacek, a mentalist, who Criss employs as a consultant and producer; Krystyn Lambert, Criss' apprentice, who previously was invited by the U.S. State Department to travel through Asia sharing her passions for magic, philosophy, and education; John Farrell, who has been the exclusive set and illusion co-designer for the magician Criss Angel since 1993; Doug Malloy, who has been working with Criss in Vegas since 2007, consulting and fabricating new illusions full time; Jesse Feinberg, a researcher and magician, who has used his strong computer, graphics and music skills to execute Criss' visions since July 2012; and Spiro Papas, who has a keen sense of how to effectively connect people and places. Finally, CRISS ANGEL BELIEVE features guest appearances by Shaquille O'Neal, Ice T, Ludacris, Randy Couture, Michael Strahan and more. Spike TV aired a sneak peek of this series on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11pm ET/PT, one week before the official series premiere on Tuesday, October 15 at 10pm ET/PT.
