Plot Synopsis

Following the events in the feature film THE CROODS: A NEW AGE, two very different families join forces to create a new community, an us-against-the-world, cave person co-op on the most amazing farm in the history of prehistory. The story opens with the Croods struggling to find their purpose on the Betterman farm, but they see an opportunity to prove their worth by harvesting Phil's perilous (and sticky) bounceberries. The entire six-episode first season of THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE dropped on Hulu and Peacock on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

The sophomore season of THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE debuted on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, as Hulu and Peacock dropped the entire seven-episode new season. In the season opener, "Remote Control," bored of the viewing options on window, Thunk realizes what he's been missing -- real life drama! But when Thunk starts creating drama around the farm, the others set out to teach him a lesson.

The entire six-episode third season of THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE dropped on Thursday, June 2, 2022 on Peacock and Hulu. In the season opener, "Thunder Misters," jealous of the Thunder Sisters, the men on the farm try to join the exclusive tribe of women.

Season 4 of THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE premiered on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, as Hulu and Peacock both released the entire seven-episode new season. In the season opener, "The Big Shine," Grug overhears Thunk accidentally call Phil "Dad", so he tries to reconnect with Thunk by taking him to the natural spectacle known as "Big Shine."

On Friday, November 25, 2022, Hulu and Peacock both released the entire six-episode fifth season of THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE. In the season opener, "Hwam I Am," when the Croods find a man frozen in a block of ice, they thaw him and discover he was an old flame of Gran's!

THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE returned for its sixth season on Thursday, March 30, 2023 on Hulu and Peacock, as the two streaming services both released all seven episodes of the new season. In the season opener, "Phil Pickle," when Phil's beloved stick companion Philliam goes missing, he enlists the help of Ugga and Eep who lead an investigation across the farm.

Season 7 of THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE debuted on Thursday, July 27, 2023 on Hulu and Peacock, which each released all six episodes of the new season. In the season opener, "Alphafight," trained by her parents, Eep competes in Alphafight. But when Eep learns that a human winning could upset the balance of nature, she must choose between winning to make her parents proud, and losing to protect the other animals.

The eighth season of THE CROODS: FAMILY TREE premiered on Thursday, November 9, 2023 on Hulu and Peacock, which released the entire seven-episode new season. In the season opener, "Dared Straight," the kids take their "Dare Game" too far, causing Grug, Ugga, Phil and Hope to forbid them from playing it. But when the adults also get hooked on the game, the kids must convince them to stop before someone gets hurt.
