Plot Synopsis

This series is like a dance version of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS with a twist -- each show ends with people from two of that episode's featured videos, who perform in front of a live studio audience for a $10,000 prize. Hosted by Melissa Peterman with help from VJ Guy Torry and special guests, DANCING FOOLS features the best, funniest, most outrageous and memorable user-generated dances caught on camera. Home viewers submit videos at, and producers select which videos appear on the show and who gets to perform live onstage. During each episode, Peterman also introduces one classic dance video, inducting that performer into the DANCING FOOLS Hall of Fools, with The Numa Numa guy (Gary Brolsma) as its first member. Plus, each episode ends with the audience voting for the winner of a dance-off between two competitors, including: The Wolf Pack, a trio of brothers from San Diego, CA, against The Fat Five, a group of teenage besties from Orlando Park, IL; Singers 'n Sync, a mother-daughter duo from Los Angeles, CA, against The Hot Steppers, a group of BFFs from Orlando, FL; Crunch Pop, a dynamic duo from Berkeley, CA, against Unitards 4 Life, a feminine foursome from Los Angeles, CA; and many more dancing fools.
