Plot Synopsis

Created by Carolina Rivera & Fernando Sarinana, DAUGHTER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER is a scripted comedy series centers on two women, who, after realizing their babies were exchanged at birth, develop a plan to adjust to their new lives. Four months after their babies were swapped, workaholic Ana and student Mariana prepare to carry out the exchange. But what if they don't have to? They create a single -- and peculiar -- family. Mariana moves in with Ana and her family to wean Valentina. Tere, Mariana's mom, is surprised when Juan Carlos, Ana's husband, offers to help them. On Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire nine-episode first season of DAUGHTER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER.

After Season 1's cliffhanger ending, Ana and Mariana decide to separate, despite having created deep ties with each other, the babies, and the rest of the family. Ana and Mariana deal with a lawsuit and new business while maintaining the facade of their relationship. But chaos arises when true feelings blossom. In the season opener, "An Inconvenient Truth," Pablo and Juan Carlos try to gather evidence to prove that Mariana and Ana are lying. Tere puts Victor to the test. Ferran tries to make Mariana jealous.
