Plot Synopsis

What happens during the 36 hours immediately before a big runway show? This four-episode series follows fashion icons as they prepare for the big day, capturing designers at this key moment when creativity and business come together. Each house has its own unique energy, mood, character and rhythm, and its fair share of moments of panic, last-minute inspirations and ego-unleashing. Each episode follows a different designer: Sonia Rykiel at her October 2008 runway show in Paris; Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler in New York in February 2009; Karl Lagerfeld in Milan in March 2009; and Jean Paul Gaultier's July 2009 haute-couture show in Paris.
