Plot Synopsis
In the year 2166, the immortal villain Vandal Savage is on the verge of his final victory -- total chaos and the utter destruction of humanity. As the world crumbles, the Time Master Rip Hunter takes matters into his own hands; to stop him, he travels 150 years into the past to assemble a carefully selected but disparate group of heroes and rogues: Hawkman, Hawkgirl, White Canary, The Atom, Firestorm, Captain Cold, and Heat Wave. Hunter has chosen what seems like an ill-matched group: billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as the Atom; Sara Lance, the White Canary, a trained assassin; Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; Leonard Snart, known as Captain Cold, and his partner Mick Rory (aka Heat Wave), a pair of career criminals; and Kendra Saunders (aka Hawkgirl) and Carter Hall (aka Hawkman). Convinced by Hunter to join him in the fight to defeat Savage, the group travels back and forth through time to try to stop Savage's plans from being set into motion, while Hunter struggles to keep to his duty as a Time Master and avoid irreparable damage to the timeline of history. The fate of the world is in the hands of this unlikely team, and the battle to save the earth will be legendary. Together, they must stop one of the most formidable villains of all time, while they must learn how to not only be a team, but heroes as well. On Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 9-9:30pm ET/PT, The CW premiered a brand-new, half-hour special, DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: THEIR TIME IS NOW, featuring show clips and interviews from LEGENDS, ARROW, and THE FLASH executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer, and Wendy Mericle. This special introduces he immortal madman Vandal Savage, Rip Hunter and his band of ragtag rogues and heroes. Two days later, DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW premiered on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 8pm on The CW. Season 2 of LEGENDS OF TOMORROW premiered on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who colluded with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action upon making a shocking discovery -- the Legends are scattered throughout time. Nate must find a way to rescue this beloved team of heroes and rogues. When the Legends encounter the J.S.A (the Justice Society of America, the precursor to DC's Justice League) in the 1940s, Amaya Jiwe (aka Vixen) joins the team. While the team reunites, a mystery looms -- the fate of former captain Rip Hunter. Once reunited, the Legends continue their new mission to protect the timeline from temporal aberrations - unusual changes to history that spawn potentially catastrophic consequences. When Nate, the grandson of J.S.A. member Commander Steel, unexpectedly finds himself with powers, he must overcome his own insecurities and find the hero within himself. Ultimately, the Legends will clash with foes both past and present, to save the world from a mysterious new threat. On Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT, The CW debuted the winter premiere of DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. In the mid-season premiere, "Raiders of the Lost Art," when Damien Darhk and Malcolm Merlyn try to capture Rip Hunter in 1967, they create an Aberration big enough to draw the attention of the Legends. However, when the team arrives they discover that Rip has no memories of his past due to "time drift" and is just a graduate film student. After trying to convince Rip of who he was, they discover that he possesses an incredibly powerful artifact known as the Spear of Destiny, which the Legion of Doom is after. Ray and Nate realize that the Aberration has also affected them personally making it difficult to help the team. Meanwhile, Roryasks Stein for help and makes him promise to keep it a secret from the team. Season 3 of DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW premiered on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new existential threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms -- a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband -- until Mick Rory discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time-travelling heroics, Sara wastes no time in getting the Legends back together. She reunites with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nate Heywood, former member of the JSA Amaya Jiwe, and Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm. Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau's authority, and, in true Legends style, eventually run afoul of the Bureau when they recruit a hacker from the future, Zari Tomaz. Against the wishes of the bureau, they welcome Zari to the team and continue their time travelling shenanigans, while insisting that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau's capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends. Season 4 of DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW premiered on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. In the season opener, "The Virgin Gary," the Legends find themselves in unfamiliar territory with the Time Bureau after they defeated Mallus and wiped the final anachronism from time. All that changes when Constantine informs Sara of a new magical threat that leads the team to Woodstock. Constantine thinks he knows how to defeat the new threat, but will need the help of the team and their special klepto talents to help with his spell. Meanwhile, Nate and Rory go on an adventure leaving Nate facing someone from his past.

On Monday, December 10, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, The CW premiered "Legends of To-Meow-Meow," the mid-season finale of DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. After Constantine breaks the cardinal Legend rule, you can't change the past, he, along with Charlie and Zari try to deal with the ramifications without telling the rest of the Legends. Even though Zari encourages them to just fix the problem, Constantine and Charlie are determined to find another way, but only continue to make things worse.
