Plot Synopsis

Using re-enactments and first-person interviews with loved ones and law enforcement, DEAD OF NIGHT chronicles crimes that occurred under the cover of darkness and the daytime investigations that followed. Each 60-minute episode features one crime, including these victims: Laura Garza, a 25-year-old aspiring dancer, who was clubbing in one of New York City's hottest venues, left the club with two men, and then vanished; Corey Parker, a 25-year-old student in Jacksonville, FL, who was found stabbed over 100 times after missing a Thanksgiving party and a shift at the bar; Shawn Johnson, a 34-year-old businessman, who was on a trip to New Orleans partying at an after-hours bar called The Dungeon, where he invited a group back to his hotel room and was killed during his own hotel party; and many others whose last nights did not go as planned.

DEAD OF NIGHT returned for its second season on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the Season 2 opener, investigators uncover a complex web of vengeance, greed and money that leads them to the killer of 24-year old rookie cop Troy Barboza, who was murdered in his Oahu home.
