Plot Synopsis

Created by Jon Brown, DEAD PIXELS is a half-hour, scripted comedy series that follows Meg, Nicky, and Usman, who are obsessed with the online fantasy game "Kingdom Scrolls." Meg would happily cut a date short to go home and defend Castle Blackfinger. Nicky thinks the miscasting of Vince Vaughn as Tanadaal in the "Kingdom Scrolls" movie is an international outrage. And Usman has made a plywood lid for his child's playpen, so he can play the game in peace. Oh, and Nicky definitely isn't into Meg. That would be a cliche. DEAD PIXELS is split equally between the characters' tragicomic real lives and their computer-animated misadventures in "Kingdom Scrolls." DEAD PIXELS had its U.S. premiere on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW.

Season 2 of DEAD PIXELS had its U.S. premiere on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 9:30pm ET/PT on The CW. In the second season, gaming fanatics Meg, Nicky, and Usman are thrilled by the arrival of the Kingdom Scrolls expansion pack. However, their excitement is quashed when they discover that the game they love so much has been commercialized and overrun by a younger generation of players. Meg starts to wonder whether it's time for her to grow up and move on. Usman goes to increasing extremes to hide his gaming from his wife. And Nicky falls for a girl online who he invites to come and stay. Which definitely doesn't cause any issues between him and Meg, because they definitely don't have feelings for each other...

On Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 9:30pm ET/PT, The CW aired "Flanks/Yarns", the Season 2 finale of DEAD PIXELS. Nicky prepares to meet his love interest Daisy IRL. Meanwhile, Meg has rebooted an old version of Kingdom Scrolls that the three of them can play together. What could possibly go wrong?
