Plot Synopsis

DEADLY AFFAIRS chronicles steamy scandals and deadly dalliances that led to crimes of passion. From love triangles that implode to office romances exposed; from sleeping with the enemy to bedding your best friend's husband; and from grooms ditching the ceremony with a bridesmaid in tow to swingers deciding the grass actually is greener; stories of passionate love affairs turned crimes of passion aren't just happening on daytime television, where the show's narrator, Susan Lucci, portrayed Erica Kane on ABC's ALL MY CHILDREN. This series highlighted the following cases in Season 1: Kristin Rossum cheated on her husband, Greg de Villers, with her new boss, and Greg threatened to uncover her infedelity -- and drug use -- to her workplace; widowed schoolteacher Nelda Mason and new substitute Charles Chumbler unexpectedly fell in love and then happily married -- until a mysterious young man named Michael Kariakis shows up on their doorstep, claiming to be an illegitimate son; Carolyn and Ken Stahl, the quintessential power couple, whose fast-fading romance provided Ken an excuse to cheat -- with fate prescribing not one, but two murders; widowed teacher Janine Sutphen starts life a new town after her three sons leave her with an empty nest, and she met and married Rob Petrick -- only to have Rob cheat with an old high-school fling and initiate a long-term engagement; Bill and Melanie McGuire, a picture perfect couple with successful careers and a growing family, had their once idyllic marriage crash down around them following a hot and steamy workplace affair; and more tales of love gone wrong. On Monday, September 3, 2012 at 1pm ET/PT, as part of its DAYS OF OUR KNIVES daytime programming block, Investigation Discovery aired a first look at this series by showing 10 minutes of an episode. Season 2 debuted on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. The second season of DEADLY AFFAIRS featured these stories: a wealthy woman who seeks attention away from her husband; a woman who becomes bored and seeks out an old classmate; an assistant principal whose affair ends in murder; a teacher and a student who have a deadly affair; and many more people who shared a deadly romance. On Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery aired the Season 3 premiere of DEADLY AFFAIRS with Susan Lucci, featuring more tales of greed, temptation, and revenge. In the season opener, "Spellbound," the passion between Mirinda and Sam Boob is red-hot, until lies and betrayals tarnish their happiness. Then, Tony Hayes loves being a model officer/ladies' man, but Monique Johnson catches his wandering eye.
Investigation Discovery debuted the Season 3 finale of DEADLY WIVES on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the night's first episode (9pm), "Drowned by Love," Kimberly Tetz has it all, but all good things come to an end when someone ends up on the losing end of a deadly ultimatum. And later, pianist Tom Whitney finally meets the love of his life, but this true love story will end on a sour note. Then, in the season ender (10pm), "To Catch a Cheat," a sexy Russian co-ed, Irina Zadornov. falls for an aspiring lawyer, but she doesn't know he's still hot for an old flame. And later, when a Texas heartthrob, with a rotating slate of lovers, goes missing, investigators are left with no shortage of questions.
