Plot Synopsis

Ian Grant goes on buying trips around the globe, searching for unique items to bring home to his warehouse in the Twin Cities. Whether by foot, canoe or bike, he goes to the four corners of the globe to find the most exotic items. In the unaired, short-version pilot, he traveled to Fort Cochin, India. In December 2007, THE DEAL HUNTER WITH IAN GRANT was one of a number of pilots that Travel Channel aired during its Pilot Week, and the network subsequently decided to produce more episodes of the series. In the pilot that aired, Grant went to New York City to find that city's signature items.
