Plot Synopsis

Inspired by Apple's "Dear Apple" spots, DEAR... is a documentary series that presents biographies of the most iconic figures in society today by using letters written by those whose lives have been changed through their work. On Friday, June 5, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Apple TV+ released the entire 10-episode first season, featuring an episode for each of these celebrities: Oprah Winfrey, Yara Shahidi, Gloria Steinem, Spike Lee, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stevie Wonder, Aly Raisman, Misty Copeland, Big Bird, and Jane Goodall.

The second season of DEAR... dropped on Friday, March 4, 2022, as Apple TV+ released nine episodes. The new roster of icons includes the late Andre Leon Talley, Viola Davis, Malala Yousafzai, Jane Fonda, Ava DuVernay, Billy Porter, Sandra Oh, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Laird Hamilton.
