Plot Synopsis

DEATH IN THE DORMS is a one-hour docuseries that explores the stories of the kind of danger that no college student is ever prepared for: a life cut short just when it was getting started, not by accident but by foul play. Through emotional testimony from family and friends and interviews with key law enforcement, each episode focuses on the life of one bright young student, diving into their lost potential, their loved ones' grief, and the fight to bring their killers to justice. Each episode examines a different murder of a college student in the United States. On Thursday, January 5, 2023, Hulu released all six episodes:

"Andrea DelVesco": UCLA students wake up to a dark smoky cloud over Westwood, as fire consumes an apartment building full of sorority sisters. When Andrea DelVesco's body is found in the ashes, the police uncover the shocking truth behind a web of lies to catch a killer.

"Christian Aguilar": University of Florida freshman, Christian Aguilar, was happily beginning life at college with a new relationship blossoming. It was all taken away from him when he was reported missing under mysterious circumstances.

"Yeardley Love": Charlottesville Police responded to an early morning call and discovered the lifeless body of UVA lacrosse player, Yeardley Love. Evidence of a violent crime quickly triggers a murder investigation which points to another student athlete.

"Michael Deng": A weekend getaway that represented a future full of opportunities, quickly turned tragic for Baruch college freshman, Michael Deng. Investigators soon discover that his friends are hiding information that will have nationwide ramifications.

"Samantha Josephson": South Carolina University student, Samantha Josephson, was quickly approaching graduation and had law school on the horizon. All of that was ripped away one fateful night when she called a rideshare and never made it home.

"Katie Autry": After a night out at a fraternity party, Western Kentucky University freshman Katie Autry received a sober ride home to the presumed safety of her dorm. Hours later, a shocking act of violence would rock the campus and the entire state of Kentucky.
