Plot Synopsis

Written and created by Lisa McGee & Tobias Beer, THE DECEIVED is a four-part thriller that centers on a young woman who falls for her married lecturer. While studying English at Cambridge, Ophelia Marsh begins an affair with charismatic lecturer Michael Callaghan. When he suddenly disappears, she tracks him to his family home in Ireland. But Ophelia starts to fear that Michael isn't telling her everything, and must decide whether she's losing her mind or something sinister is afoot. THE DECEIVED had its U.S. premiere on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 9:30pm ET/PT on Starz.
