Plot Synopsis

DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION (shortened to DEGRASSI in Season 10) is a scripted drama series that delves into the lives of students at Degrassi Community School, where these teens deal with various issues, like drug use, eating disorders, teen pregnancy, and sexual identity. DEGRASSI welcomes three new faces for its thirteenth season: the fierce and fashion-forward Zoe Rivas, played by Ana Golja; an athlete and former prep-school kid Miles Hollingsworth III, portrayed by Eric Osborne; and sarcastic wingman Winston 'Chewy' Chu, played by Andre Kim. In the Season 13 premiere, school's out and summer's in! A few lucky Degrassi students are bound for a once-in-a-lifetime romantic trip to Europe. Maya is looking to play it cool and put the past behind her, but things heat up when she makes a questionable judgment call and winds up banned from the trip! Clare thought her summer would be a bummer with Eli off in New York City, but the Europe trip on the horizon promises sunny skies ahead, as long as her cancer results come back negative. Meanwhile, Adam got an awesome summer job at Degrassi's Kid's Camp, but his beach babe Becky is Florida-bound for the next two months. He's insecure about being apart and wonders if the time and distance will kill their relationship. For Season 13, which debuted on July 11, 2013, DEGRASSI aired on Thursdays at 8pm ET on MuchMusic (Canada) and 9pm ET on TeenNick (USA). In Season 14, which premiered in the United States on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 9pm ET on TeenNick, the students of Degrassi are in recovery mode after last season's super storm hit the city. Four new cast members -- Lola (Amanda Arcuri), Shay (Reiya Downs), Jonah (Ehren Kassam) and Arlene (Devyn Nekoda) -- get a fresh start, while familiar faces tackle complicated challenges at home and at school. This season addresses many teen issues, including depression, social media, teen pregnancy and relationships.

In TeenNick's final episodes, the senior class prepares for prom and graduation as the school year comes to an end. The new principal, Ms. Pill, introduces a strict new regime at Degrassi in response to the oomfchat scandal, and the unhappy students take out their frustrations on Zoe. Meanwhile, Clare and Eli are on good terms and committed to raising their baby together. Frankie and Winston decide to put on the musical production, "Caption Who," penned by Winston himself. Also, Zig and Maya grow closer than ever.
